Allergy Elimination (NAET)

There has to be an imbalance in the body for the person to have an allergy. If the body is functioning at 100% then there will be no allergies. NAET (Nambudripad Allergy Elimination Technique) involves using muscle testing to determine what the person is allergic to. The patient holds a vile containing the suspected allergen and if the patient is allergic to that substance the muscle will go weak. The doctor then tests the patient while they are holding the allergen to see what system is not working properly.

The treatment is gentle stimulation of spinal associated points and gentle acupressure point stimulation while the person is in contact with the allergen. The patient then avoids the allergen for 25 hours and the treatment is complete.

The treatment has proven to be effective for both air borne allergies (eg. dust, mold perfume, smoke) and food allergies (dairy, wheat, sugar, shellfish)

What most people don’t realize is that this technique is not just for people with obvious allergy symptoms such as sneezing, watery eyes and rashes. Biochemical imbalances may be due to allergies which affect the bodies’ ability to absorb needed nutrients. For example, a patient with an iodine allergy may experience decrease in thyroid function because the thyroid needs iodine to make T3 and T4.

Dr. Chance Asks some important questions of interest to Gainesville residents - Chiropractor Gainesville Dr. Chance Asks...

How could a child benefit from chiropractic?
Regardless of our age, each of us in Gainesville encounters physical, chemical and emotional stresses that exceed our ability to handle. For newborns, it could be the trauma encountered at birth. For toddlers it could be from learning to walk or ride a bike. Many of the problems we chiropractors see in adults are the result of neglected traumas from childhood.
What's a side effect?
It may sound like a bonus; something extra, but chiropractors know it should more accurately called an "unintended effect," and "unwanted effect" or in some cases an "adverse effect." A pill can't come close to matching your body's ability to create and deliver the essential compounds it needs. That's when it's important to make sure your nervous system is working correctly—the purpose of chiropractic care!
